BNSF Intermodal Project Update:  June 29, 2011

 

BNSF Notice to Proceed:  BNSF has officially issued their Notice to Proceed to TJ Lambrecht Construction dated November 17, 2010.

 

BNSF Selects Contractor to Build New Intermodal Facility-State Finalizes $35 Million Grant Agreement:  FORT WORTH, Texas, October 18, 2010---BNSF Railway Company today announced it has selected T.J. Lambrecht Construction and Walsh Construction as the primary civil contractor to construct its new intermodal facility southwest of Kansas City in Edgerton, Kansas.

Also, today the Kansas Department of Transportation announced that an agreement for a $35 million grant to BNSF from the state's Rail Assistance Program has been finalized.

 

Parkinson signs $8.2B Kansas transportation bill - Kansas City Business Journal: Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson has signed legislation setting up a new $8.2 billion, 10-year Transportation Works for Kansas Program, which is expected to provide a boost to the state economy.
