Southwest Johnson County Economic Development

Southwest Johnson County, Kansas is one of the fastest growing areas in the metropolitan Kansas City area. Just 30-minutes from downtown Kansas City, the Southwest Johnson County area is home to the growing communities of Gardner, Kansas and Edgerton, Kansas and New Century AirCenter, the premier multi-modal business park in the metro area.   We certainly have even more to celebrate with the recent announcement of  the BNSF Intermodal site.

The Southwest Johnson County Economic Development Corporation is a cooperative effort of the City of Edgerton, Kansas, the City of Gardner, Kansas and the Johnson County Airport Commission. Its primary mission is to stimulate economic growth by demonstrating to new and existing companies the unique business advantage of a southwest Johnson County location.
